Exodus
Etymology: The word “exodus” comes from Greek “exodos”, which is composed of “ex-” (out) and “hodos” (way, journey). In Greek, it originally meant “way out” or “departure”.
ATONEMENT
has its roots in Middle English, from the phrase “at onement”. It combines “at” (in this context, meaning to) and “onement” (the state of being “at one”). “Onement” derives from Old English “an” (one).
