Why is this important?
For us this designing a new approach to culture is important because we don’t want to sustain the current cultures any longer. Our perspective on our globalized human cultures is reflected in environmental and social degradation. The capitalistic consumerism approach to life is not worth living. We felt no real purpose in our lives as long as we thought we would need to take the path most people take. Just what we were told to pursue. And that seemed quite boring, depressing and had little potential to change.
It is not that humankind is lacking knowledge. At least not when you look at all human knowledge. There were never as many libraries in the world as today. The only problem is knowledge in books is not knowledge. It is wood, water and chemicals for paper and more chemicals for ink. Without a reader the ink has no meaning. Only the one who can read can recognize the lines and circles as letters. At first it is just information that is printed on the pages. Then, as you read, you interpret what you have read. And when the author and the reader are lucky the reader also understood.
Descriptions of someone who knew something in a book are worthless, unless someone reads and understands it and then applies what was read.
Why do we think this project is important? We believe that a full new range of potentials and opportunities opens up when we replace fear, shame and guilt as core values by unconditional love and infinite and eternal intrinsic value of every being and thing.
We believe this fundamental change within ourselves will have more impact than over 2,000 years of changing the environment.
